Twenty three Maoists were killed in exchange of fire with Grey hounds of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha. Some of the high command leaders of Maoists were killed in this encounter. The operation started night and continued for hours. At last police won the upper hand in the operation. Police recovered four AK 47 guns, seven SLRs, fifteen 303 Riffles and many land mines from the operation spot. Two constables of Greyhounds, an elite anti-Maoist force, were injured in the encounter.
